Target Adopts William Rast

I recall a time in history when Target used to sell clothing that was hardly even socially acceptable. Today, however, it seems like major brand names have been brought into Target stores and it is almost like it has morphed into a nice store to buy clothes. If you’re not on board with that idea, perhaps you have not received word that high-end designer jeans maker William Rast has just recently been appended to the clothing brand list found at Target.

If you are not in the know, William Rast is a somewhat new manufacturer of designer denim, co-founded by former N*Sync singer, Justin Timberlake. This brand of designer jeans has been seen on the lower halves of numerous famous folk in Hollywood. You can expect them to be the most high-priced jeans found at any Target store in the US, but they are still on sale at Target. Doesn’t that boggle your mind or what?

When I was a child, I remember being being incredibly bored while shopping at Target and pleading with my mommy to buy me a $15 piece of crap watch. I can’t say with certainty what other types of watches (if any) were for sale, but I am pretty sure there were different types that were all in the same general price range. Now, you can fidn watches being sold at Target costing upwards of $100.

One more example was in my teenage years. For the purpose of saving some coin, my dear mother would buy me clothes from Target. At a time when the vast majority of my classmates were rocking trendy, expensive, surf style brand names, I was sporting obscure brands like Utility or Mossimo, which were the staples of Target back in the day. It was rather trying.

But alas, things have changed. In these modern times, buying threads at Target stores is like the cool thing to do. Who could have predicted that?
